Story Line. One line makes a break for freedom, more or less.
The pictorial narrative of one bar of code who makes a brave break for freedom, more or less.
‘Ever want to break out and go for a walk but didn’t know where to begin or how to get out the door? This highly regimented little line finds a way. Making his way alone across a wasteland of white pages, he encounters a series of entanglements, experiences and adventures. Eventually, he develops a sense of self, after a fashion, and has a good laugh.’
This book began as an experimental sketchbook and developed in very behind-the-scenes way during other, more pressing engagements and projects. Gradually, it took on a life of its own and became a narrative in (almost) purely visual form. Any text or symbols are used in a visual sense and do not require decoding or ‘reading’ in order to inform the character of this Line’s Story.
At the present time, summer 2014, this story is a unique volume in only this single copy. We hope to reissue this book as an Artist’s Special Edition sometime this year, as time allows.
